HTML Headings H1 to H6

 

There are 6 different types of HTML tags used for heading. <h1> to <h6>.

H1: this denotes the most important heading in the content usually biggest in terms of size.

H6: this is least important tag used in content. Usually smallest in terms of size.

It is important to use heading tag because content gets properly structured and Google also indexes your results properly. There is no compulsion of these heading tags as you can also manually specify, how much text size you need to have.

<hr> tag: this is the tag used for horizontal line in between content.

<h1>This is the first heading</h1>
<p>This is second heading</p>
<hr>
<h2>You can write content as per requirement</h2>
<p>what else you want to put over here</p>
<hr>

Now you can understand two horizontal lines will come in action.

<head> is the tag generally used for metadata. Location for this tag is between <html> and <body>.

How you can see source code of your website?

There are numerous possible ways to check source code of any html page. You can open page with any editor that we have mentioned in our previous posts. The most used option is crtl+u. Hold control button and press U, you will see entire HTML code open before you.
